Introduction
Just a short distance from Macquarie University and the major retail and cinema complex of the Macquarie Centre, Denistone East is located 15km north-west of the Sydney CBD. A diminutive and friendly residential community, it has a small village with all of the classic local shops, along with a school and plenty of beautiful parkland.
Architecturally it is home to a significant number of 1920s and ‘30s Californian bungalows, many of which have been beautifully restored. There are also numerous post-war red brick homes and some fine examples of original turn of the century residences. Large parcels of land and gorgeous gardens characterise many of Denistone East’s properties.
Access to the suburb is easy, with plenty of buses servicing the area and train stations located in both neighbouring Macquarie Park and Denistone.
